Partner Company Employee Referred to Prosecution in 'Home Appliance Company Stabbing' Incident
"Intent to Kill Both Victims"
An employee of a partner company who wielded a weapon against two employees of a home appliance company at the Magok Business Complex in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, has been handed over to the prosecution while being held in custody.

View original imageOn June 5, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced that it had referred Mr. A, a man in his 60s who works for an LG Electronics partner company, to the prosecution under arrest on charges of attempted murder.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of attacking employees B and C with a weapon at Science Park, the LG Electronics Magok Business Complex, on the 27th of last month, causing them serious injuries.
Initially, the police arrested Mr. A on charges of aggravated assault and applied the charge of attempted murder separately, believing he intended to kill one of the two victims. However, they ultimately concluded that he had the intent to kill both victims and dropped the aggravated assault charge.

Previously, on May 29, Mr. A attended a pretrial detention hearing at the Seoul Southern District Court. When asked about his motive, he said, "I couldn't control my anger after being notified of my dismissal," and claimed, "I believe there are problems with LG Electronics' partner management system." The court issued a detention warrant, citing concerns about the risk of flight.
