This agreement was established to systematically cultivate practical talent required in the industry, in response to the growing demand for AI and advanced semiconductor technologies.
The two institutions plan to strengthen education and research based on industry-academia collaboration and to expand field-oriented educational opportunities, joining forces to foster talent that meets industrial needs.
In particular, by linking with the industrial ecosystem of the Gumi region, where many of Lam Research's partner companies are located, the partnership is expected to help discover outstanding talent outside the metropolitan area and enhance the competitiveness of the regional semiconductor industry.
Park Junhong, CEO of Lam Research Korea, stated, "We will actively contribute to nurturing future technology talent by strengthening cooperation with academia."
