Kang Ki-yoon, Changwon Mayor-elect, Begins First Schedule with Memorial Tower Visit

"I Will Make Changwon the Most Business-Friendly City
and the Top Job-Creating City in Korea"
Kang Ki-yoon, the elected mayor of Changwon from the People Power Party, officially began his first schedule on June 4, starting with a visit to the Memorial Tower and local businesses.
On the morning of his election, Kang expressed his gratitude to citizens from a campaign vehicle, and at 10 a.m., together with members of the election campaign committee, he visited the Memorial Tower in Seongsan-gu, Changwon, where he laid flowers and offered incense in tribute to the fallen patriots and national heroes.

In the guest book, Kang wrote, "Inheriting the noble will of the fallen patriots, I will ensure that all one million citizens of Changwon are included so that we can build a safe and happy city," expressing his commitment to city administration.
Next, Kang visited Beomhan Fuel Cell and the second factory of Beomhan Industries in Masanhoewon-gu, Changwon, which manufacture hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen charging stations, and hydrogen compressors, to listen directly to voices from the business field.
At the site, Kang stated, "As part of my pledge to make Changwon the capital of clean energy, I am visiting hydrogen companies," and added, "To make Changwon the most business-friendly city and the top job-creating city in Korea, I will listen to and reflect the real voices from the business community."

Earlier, in his victory speech, Kang emphasized, "The victory in this Changwon mayoral election is not a personal victory, but a victory for the great citizens of Changwon," and continued, "I will solemnly accept the citizens' firm mandate to get Changwon moving again."
He also declared, "I will not dwell on the joy of my election, but will immediately become a working mayor," and added, "I will start by listening to the voices of those at stalled business sites, small business owners in difficulty, and companies."
In particular, Kang reaffirmed his commitment to key pledges, saying, "I will definitely make Changwon the most business-friendly city and the top job-creating city in Korea," and specifically cited the creation of 100,000 jobs, the provision of a KRW 1 million energy annuity, and making the Machang Bridge toll-free.

Additionally, he stated, "I will pursue balanced development among Masan, Changwon, and Jinhae, and promote city administration that transcends regional and ideological boundaries," adding, "I will create a city where young people can have hope and plan for their future."
