The 12th Seoul Metropolitan Council, elected through the June 3 local elections, has finalized its list of 118 elected members.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Council on June 4, the elected members by party affiliation are: 81 from the Democratic Party of Korea (73 from constituencies and 8 from proportional representation) and 37 from the People Power Party (30 from constituencies and 7 from proportional representation).
By age group, there are 22 members in their 30s, 32 in their 40s, 33 in their 50s, 29 in their 60s, and 2 in their 70s.
The youngest elected members are Inae Lee (Democratic Party, proportional representative), born in June 1996, and Gwanghee Lee (Democratic Party, Yangcheon District 3), a constituency council member born in December 1995.
The oldest are Gideok Kim (Democratic Party, Mapo District 4), born in December 1954, and Pyeongho Yang (Progressive Party, Gangdong District 4), born in July 1954.
By occupation, the breakdown is: 27 incumbent Seoul Metropolitan Council members, 57 party members (including district council members), 15 professionals, 7 businesspeople, 3 educators, and 9 categorized as 'other'.
Including this election, there is one member who has been elected five times, one who has been elected four times, 12 who have been elected three times, 30 who have been elected twice, and 74 first-time members.
The member with the most terms is Gideok Kim, who has been elected five times, and the four-term member is Inje Kim (Democratic Party, Guro District 2). Among the re-elected members, 18 are from the Democratic Party and 12 from the People Power Party. Among the first-time members, including proportional representatives, 52 are from the Democratic Party and 22 from the People Power Party.

The term of office for the 12th Seoul Metropolitan Council members will run from July 1 next month until June 30, 2030. During next month, the first provisional session will be held, during which the chairperson and standing committee chairs for the first half of the term will be elected, after which the council will begin its official legislative activities in earnest.
