By leveraging these new features, users are expected to more easily recognize changes in their bodies and improve their daily health habits.
The biometric signs function helps Samsung Health users consistently monitor their health and take appropriate measures if any concerning physical changes are detected. If the user wears the watch while sleeping for more than a week, the Galaxy Watch will send a notification when there is a significant change in biometric indicators.
The heart health score intuitively shows how daily habits impact long-term cardiovascular health. It provides a heart health score and personalized guidance based on trends in sleep, activity levels, body composition, and vascular stress.
In addition, to prevent exhaustion or injury during moderate or intense physical activity, the daily aerobic load is calculated based on how much exercise can be done in a day, helping users balance exercise and recovery. The body fitness index, which analyzes heart rate and maximum oxygen uptake, can be compared with other Samsung Health users in the same age group.
The hearing feature assesses the safety of noise levels and exposure based on ambient noise measured by the Galaxy Watch and earphone volume when listening with Galaxy Buds, providing protection guidelines. In addition, trend charts have been added to the antioxidant index and the advanced glycation end-product (AGE) index, which indicates metabolic health and were introduced last year, to help users better manage their health.
The newly announced features will be applied first to the new Galaxy Watch products scheduled for release in the second half of the year. Existing devices, such as Galaxy Watch8, will receive the software update sequentially at a later date.
