Shinsegae Food announced on June 4 that No Brand Burger recently opened its first store in the Jeju area, the Shinjeju Branch, located in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City. This marks No Brand Burger's entry into Jeju six years after the brand's launch.
The Shinjeju Branch, which is No Brand Burger's first store in Jeju, is a large-scale location with an area of approximately 198 square meters (60 pyeong) and 83 seats. The store is situated in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, a prime commercial district known for its concentration of commercial facilities and high foot traffic. This location is notable as it attracts both local residents and tourists, making it a key area where demand from both groups converges.

View original imageShinsegae Food's strategy is to use the Shinjeju Branch to expand the No Brand Burger brand experience to both Jeju residents and tourists. To this end, the company plans to open an additional 5 to 6 stores in Jeju within the year, and will introduce specialized menus, promotions, and localized activities tailored to Jeju’s unique blend of daily local demand and tourist-driven dining needs.
Shinsegae Food explained that the No Brand Burger compact model, which requires an initial investment of less than 100 million won, has been driving the expansion of franchise locations. From January to May this year, franchise inquiries for No Brand Burger increased by 153% compared to the same period last year, while the number of new franchise stores rose by 107%. Shinsegae Food’s strategy is to enhance operational efficiency in the Seoul metropolitan area and other urban centers—where rent is high—by utilizing compact stores, while simultaneously operating both large standard stores and compact stores in new target regions to create synergy by boosting both brand awareness and efficiency.
