Gyeonggi Province to Complete Key Projects Including Underpass Flood Alarm Devices Before Rainy Season
Gyeonggi Province will complete most projects, including the installation of flood detection alarm devices in underpasses, before the start of the rainy season on June 15.
Since March, Gyeonggi Province has been implementing emergency prevention projects based on advanced technology at a total of 909 facilities across seven sectors where there have been significant casualties in the past or where there is concern about potential disasters, in order to prevent loss of life during summer disasters.
The main projects include the installation of flood detection alarm devices in underpasses; flood detection alarms and flood barriers for apartment complexes and semi-basement homes; automatic vehicle control systems for riverside walkways; in-house broadcasting systems at campsites; automatic water level meters at reservoirs; and the installation of surface displacement meters (subsidence measuring equipment) on steep slopes.
