View original imageJung Chungrae, Chief Standing Election Committee Chair of the Democratic Party of Korea, is presiding over the final Central Election Committee meeting on the day of the 9th nationwide local elections at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul.
At this meeting, Jung, along with other party leaders including Han Byungdo, Co-Chief Standing Election Committee Chair, is expected to deliver a final call for voter participation.
Afterwards, Jung is scheduled to monitor the results of exit polls and ballot counting from the ballot counting situation room set up at the National Assembly, starting at 6 p.m. when voting ends on the same day.
On the same day, at around 6:30 a.m., Jang Donghyuk, Chief Election Committee Chair of the People Power Party, cast his vote in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province—his own constituency—before heading to the National Assembly to preside over the party's final election committee meeting.

After voting at the polling station set up at Daecheon Girls' High School in Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, Jang met with reporters and stressed, "This local election is truly important," and urged, "I hope everyone will head to the polling stations today and cast your precious vote."
