[6.3 Election] Park Jiwon: "Hold Yoon, Lee, and Park Accountable... Forgiving Them Means a Return to Government Corruption"
"Those Who Should Repent Are Strutting Nationwide"
Sharp Criticism of Former Conservative Presidents
To Han Donghoon: "Withdraw and Form a New Party with Lee Junseok and Yoo Seungmin"
Jiwon Park, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, has recently unleashed strong criticism against the ruling bloc through social media, prominently calling for voters to "judge the administration" at the polls. At the same time, he urged the opposition to establish strict internal discipline and take a strategic approach to the upcoming elections.
On June 1, Park targeted former presidents Yoon Suk Yeol, Lee Myung-bak, and Park Geun-hye simultaneously through his Facebook page.
He stated, "Even if Park Geun-hye, who was impeached and removed from office, and Lee Myung-bak, who is mired in corruption, spent their entire lives repenting in prison, it would not be enough. Yet they are strutting around the country like victorious generals, criticizing Lee Jae-myung. If we forgive such behavior, this country will backslide into a state of government corruption and a republic of scandals once again."
He continued, "History and the people do not forget. What became of the seven former conservative presidents?" He went on to say, "The people must once again hold Yoon, Lee, and Park accountable at the ballot box. These three are the truly bad actors," thereby appealing strongly to voters.
Previously, on May 31, Park had posted that "Political parties are formed for elections, and elections are meant to be won," emphasizing the need for careful conduct by party members during the campaign period, while also continuing his outspoken commentary on current political issues.
Referring to past controversies involving Governor Kim Kwan-young of North Jeolla Province, he asserted, "If the party failed to act swiftly when clear evidence emerged, we would not have been able to properly conduct this election," highlighting the need for rigorous and preemptive action by the party. In contrast, regarding Cho Kuk, leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, he defended him by drawing a comparison with candidate Kim Yong-nam's actions, saying, "He has been independent from the start. The public will be the judge of his merits."
Park raised his criticism of leading ruling party candidate Han Dong-hoon to the highest level. Referring to Han as "Gan Dong-hoon," he said, "Instead of looking at Yoon Suk Yeol and Kim Keon-hee, he is only watching the People Power Party, its members, and the public. He will fall like an unripe persimmon."

He also raised suspicions about a quasi-organization at Han's campaign office in Buk-gu, Busan, stating, "If it is a quasi-campaign office, it's over. I urge Han to quietly withdraw from the race and join figures like Yoo Seung-min, Ahn Cheol-soo, Cho Kyung-tae, and Lee Jun-seok—relatively reasonable conservatives—in forming a new party to start anew."
