Over 200 Companies Including ADNOC, ExxonMobil, and Boeing Participate

Discussions Focus on "Energy Realism," Addressing Supply Chain Continuity and More

SAMSUNG E&A successfully concluded a large-scale tech forum, demonstrating its global partnerships and technological leadership in the energy industry.

On June 2, SAMSUNG E&A announced that it held the "SAMSUNG E&A Tech Forum" at the Global Engineering Center (GEC) in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, with more than 600 representatives from approximately 200 domestic and international energy companies and institutions in attendance.

First launched in 2024, the tech forum has established itself as a platform for energy innovation companies to discuss key topics and the future direction of the energy industry. This year, major global energy and aerospace companies such as ADNOC, ExxonMobil, Petronas, and Boeing participated once again, further strengthening the forum's status as a global event.

This year’s forum was themed "Energy Realism: Continuity, Diversity, Velocity," aiming to explore practical solutions amid global supply chain uncertainties and geopolitical crises.

In the Continuity session, Malaysia’s state-owned energy company Petronas emphasized the importance of harmonizing traditional and future energies. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring ExxonMobil, Worley, Honeywell, and Macquarie, who discussed the significance of supply chain stability in the modern energy industry from various perspectives.

During the Diversity session, global aerospace company Boeing presented its sustainable strategies for the aviation industry. Notably, SAMSUNG E&A introduced the ‘CompassH2-A+’ water electrolysis technology solution, jointly developed with global hydrogen company Nel, drawing significant attention from attendees.

In the Velocity session, leading big data and artificial intelligence (AI) company Palantir held an in-depth discussion with Saudi Aramco, Honeywell, and others on ways to enhance energy productivity using AI.

In a separate exhibition area, various seminars were held alongside booths from leading global energy companies, including SAMSUNG E&A, Air Liquide, Carbon Clean, and Svante. In particular, technology seminars on liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is gaining prominence as a key energy source, as well as SAMSUNG E&A’s innovative technologies in new energy, AI, robotics, and safety and quality, attracted considerable interest from participants.

Meanwhile, following the announcement in 2023 of its vision to be an "engineering company creating a better future with advanced technology," SAMSUNG E&A has continued to implement changes for sustainable growth, including a corporate name change and portfolio restructuring. The company continues to achieve successive results in future new business areas such as clean hydrogen, e-methanol, low-carbon ammonia, SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), LNG carbon capture and storage (CCS), and water business.

Hong Namkoong, CEO of SAMSUNG E&A, stated, "Through this forum, we were able to share productive and innovative insights across all sectors of the energy industry, including chemicals, clean energy, and AI," adding, "We hope that the Tech Forum will continue to serve as an integrated platform leading the global energy industry."
