Korea Heritage Service Participates in K-Tourism Roadshow in Hangzhou, Attracts 4,500 Visitors
Introducing the Royal Culture Festival, World Heritage Festival, and Media Art
The Cultural Heritage Administration and the Korea Heritage Service announced on June 2 that they promoted Korea’s national heritage at the 'K-Tourism Roadshow in Hangzhou,' which was held in Hangzhou, China, from May 29 to 31.
The Korea Heritage Service operated a dedicated booth in the Korea Pavilion under the concept of 'KOREA DAY & NIGHT.' By presenting national heritage content that transcends day and night, city and nature, the event attracted a total of 4,561 visitors.
Hangzhou is one of China's new first-tier cities, known for its high-income and high-spending Millennials & Gen Z population. It is home to global companies such as Alibaba and NetEase, making it a newly emerging source of demand for tourism to Korea. In response, the Korea Heritage Service focused on introducing the Royal Culture Festival, the World Heritage Festival, and National Heritage Media Art.
