Joint Volunteer Group from Both Airlines Renovates Facilities in the Philippines

View original imageAccording to Korean Air on June 2, the in-house choir 'KE Choir' visited the Deungchon 1 Comprehensive Social Welfare Center Senior Citizens' Lounge in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on June 1 to hold a charity performance for the elderly.
Twenty-nine choir members participated in the performance, presenting choral and instrumental stages. The event opened with Ola Gjeilo's "The Ground," followed by choral pieces such as "In the Cloud of Flowers" and "Senoya," a flute and clarinet duet, and performances of film and drama soundtracks. Along with the performance, Korean Air also donated sponsored goods to the welfare center.
Overseas, volunteer activities were carried out in partnership with Asiana Airlines employees. The joint volunteer organization of the two airlines, 'KE-OZ Alumni Association,' conducted volunteer activities for local residents and children in the Clark area of the Philippines from May 28 to 31. A total of 41 people, including members and their families, participated in this volunteer effort.
The KE-OZ Alumni Association supported renovation work for aging facilities at a local community center, replacing damaged tiles and repairing broken facilities as part of environmental improvement activities. They also held a free meal event for children and delivered various goods, including 150 bags of 5kg rice, school supplies, and musical instruments for the community center.
