Weverse Brain Selected for Ministry of Science and ICT's "Advanced GPU Utilization Support Project"
Securing Blackwell B200 Infrastructure
Weverse Brain announced on June 2 that it has been selected as a final participant in the "Advanced GPU Utilization Support Project" organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
This government project provides domestic small and venture companies with access to high-performance computing resources essential for artificial intelligence (AI) research and development. Through this selection, Weverse Brain has been allocated GPU resources based on the Blackwell (B200) platform.
Weverse Brain will deploy these computing resources to train and enhance its conversational AI models. In addition to advancing its proprietary speech module, the company will further develop its large language model (LLM) optimized for education, which was built through fine-tuning and blending techniques.
This training will leverage the 680 million accumulated utterance data points collected through Weverse Brain’s operation of English learning services such as Speaking Max and Max AI. The company plans to utilize this data to upgrade its conversational AI so it can adjust tone more naturally and respond more appropriately in real-world conversation scenarios.
Weverse Brain has internalized the entire conversational AI pipeline—including voice activity detection (VAD), speech-to-text (STT), and text-to-speech (TTS)—using its proprietary technology. In May, it completed internalization of its TTS model and joined SK Group’s "K-AI Alliance."

Sewon Cho, CEO of Weverse Brain, stated, "We have secured computing resources that are significantly larger than the infrastructure we previously used," adding, "We will devote our efforts to further advancing our conversational AI to be more natural and capable of tone modulation, based on our accumulated utterance data."
