Park Min-sik, the People Power Party candidate running in the Busan Buk-gu Gap by-election, appealed for support on June 1 by emphasizing his experience and leadership, stating, "We cannot leave the golden time for Buk-gu's development to rookie first-term candidates."
At a press conference held at his campaign office in Buk-gu, Busan on the same day, Park said, "Immediately after the by-election is the golden time for Buk-gu, where every minute and every second counts," and declared, "We cannot entrust the fate of Buk-gu to rookie first-term candidates who will waste their term adjusting to the National Assembly."

He also highlighted his local ties as a strength. Park stated, "I am a true Buk-gu native who understands the joys and sorrows of Buk-gu's alleyways and the hopes of its residents better than anyone," and added, "I am the only one who genuinely cares about the development of Buk-gu."
Park further stressed the importance of consolidating the conservative voter base in the final stage of the campaign. He said, "With the official campaign period underway, the conservative supporters determined to defend Buk-gu are rallying with great momentum," and added, "I am meeting with residents with the resolve to campaign tirelessly for 100 hours straight, even without sleep."
