HRT Robotics Accelerates Physical AI...Selected as Lead Organization for Ministry of SMEs and Startups R&D Project
HRT Robotics, a company specializing in robotic solutions, is making a full-fledged entry into the physical artificial intelligence (AI) business, backed by an investment of 1.8 billion won.
On June 1, HRT Robotics announced that it has been selected as the lead research and development institution for the “2026 Regional Innovation Leading Company Fostering R&D” project organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. HRT Robotics is a subsidiary of KOSPI-listed Y2Solution, expanding its scope in the robotics sector by developing ultra-low-profile autonomous mobile robot (AMR) platforms and building a high-tech robotics value chain.
The R&D project is titled “Development of an Integrated Operating Platform for Intelligent Mobile Dual-Arm Robots for Abnormal Situation Detection Based on AI Video Analysis and for Part/Tool Delivery within Manufacturing Processes.” The research and development budget amounts to approximately 1.79 billion won, with the research period running until March 2028.
HRT Robotics plans to integrate collaborative robots that previously worked in fixed positions and autonomous mobile robots responsible for logistics transport within factories, thereby advancing into the physical AI sector. The company also aims to develop an intelligent mobile dual-arm robot platform that detects abnormal situations within manufacturing processes using AI video analysis, and delivers parts and products to workers or transports them between processes.
