In Response to 'KOSPI at 4,100 Without Semiconductors' Report, Lee Says, "Is Son Heung-min Just Ordinary Without Soccer?"
On June 1, President Lee Jae-myung stated, "Semiconductors are one of the core sectors of our industry, so I don't understand why we should calculate the comprehensive stock price index without including them."
On this day, President Lee shared an article on his X account (formerly Twitter) which reported that "the actual KOSPI index, excluding semiconductor sectors such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, is only in the 4,100–4,200 range," and made these remarks.

In response, President Lee commented, "Does anyone say, 'Take away Son Heung-min's soccer skills and he's just an ordinary person'? No one does," adding, "Shouldn't we be saying, 'Even excluding semiconductors, the Korean stock market is as high as 4,100'?"
