Emro, a supply chain management software company, announced on June 1 that it has appointed Sangwon Jo, Executive Vice President of Samsung SDS, as its new CEO.
Sangwon Jo, the CEO nominee, is currently an outside director on Emro’s board and Head of the Digital SRM Team in the Solutions Business Division at Samsung SDS. He is an expert who has overseen global sales and marketing for 'Caidentia,' a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for procurement supply chain management (SRM) jointly developed by Emro and Samsung SDS.
The company explained that this appointment is intended to maximize synergy between Emro and Samsung SDS and to pursue global expansion in markets such as North America and Europe. Sangwon Jo will officially join Emro as of June 1, beginning operational leadership and the transition process. Emro plans to complete the formal appointment procedure through an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and a board meeting in July.

Jaemin Song, the current CEO of Emro, will step down after completing his three-year term, which was agreed upon at the time of Samsung SDS’s acquisition of Emro in May 2023. After his resignation, Song will serve as an advisor, supporting management succession and providing guidance for Emro’s continued growth.
