Recruiting 1,500 Participants for Trail Challenge

The 'Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan Trail6 Challenge,' jointly organized by North Gyeongsang Province and six cities and counties in the Baekdudaegan region (Gimcheon, Yeongju, Sangju, Mungyeong, Yecheon, and Bonghwa), will welcome participants starting with Sangju on June 20.
The '2026 Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan Trail6 Challenge' is a flagship event aiming to establish Baekdudaegan forest tourism as a representative brand. The event will tour the six cities and counties, with a total of 1,500 participants expected to take part in six separate sessions. Each location will offer two different courses according to difficulty: a beginner course of approximately 10 to 14 kilometers, and an intermediate/advanced course of over 14 kilometers. The schedule will begin in Sangju (June 20), followed by Gimcheon (September 19), Mungyeong (October 3), Bonghwa (October 10), Yeongju (October 24), and Yecheon (October 31).
Participants can choose between the "free type" and "package type" registration. The free type allows individuals to participate using their own vehicles, with a participation fee of 35,000 won per person per session. The package type includes round-trip transportation from Seoul (the capital region) and a 10,000-won local gift certificate, with a participation fee of 59,000 won per person per session. In addition, all participants will receive various gifts, including a commemorative T-shirt, a bandana, and local snacks.
Anyone interested in the 'Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan Trail6 Challenge' can apply, with 250 participants accepted for each event on a first-come, first-served basis.
