Galaxia Moneytree Expands Global Access to "Moneytree App" and Adds Zeropay Feature
Digital finance company Galaxia Moneytree announced on June 1 that it has expanded the usage of its "Moneytree App" to a global scale.
As a result, users who have installed the Moneytree App and completed identity verification in Korea can now use the app services overseas. Since Moneytree requires identity verification through a domestic mobile phone number, the company recommends that users install the app and complete login in Korea before departure. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store, One Store, and Apple App Store, with the country or region set to South Korea.
With this overseas expansion, users can now receive and send Moneytree Cash gifts while abroad. In the second half of the year, the company plans to link global payments to its own prepaid card, the "Moneytree Card," enabling offline payments as well.
A ZeroPay payment feature has also been added, allowing users to make simple QR payments at approximately 2.17 million ZeroPay merchants nationwide. Through the "ZeroPay" menu at the top of the app's main screen, both Merchant-Presented Mode (MPM) and Consumer-Presented Mode (CPM) are available. Payments can be made instantly by scanning a QR code or presenting a barcode.
The payment process has also been streamlined. The Moneytree Cash balance is used first, and if the balance is insufficient, the linked account is automatically charged using a hybrid payment method. When paying via ZeroPay, users can also benefit from a 30% year-end tax deduction rate.
