Hwahae Surpasses 2 Million Combined Domestic and Global MAU
Global Users Surge 800% Year-on-Year
Hwahae Global announced on June 1 that the monthly active users (MAU) of the beauty platform Hwahae, combining its domestic app, web, and global web services, have surpassed 2 million.
As of March, the global web MAU exceeded 1.2 million, marking an increase of more than 800% compared to the same period last year and playing a key role in reaching the total 2 million MAU milestone. Notably, the global web MAU surpassed the domestic app and web MAU for the first time, indicating that overseas demand for K-beauty is now outpacing the domestic market size.

The global web supports services in five languages—English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Spanish—significantly lowering the entry barriers for international consumers seeking K-beauty information.
Looking ahead, Hwahae plans to increase the number of supported languages on its global web platform and further localize content provided through its domestic app by country, thereby advancing its services. In addition, the company aims to strengthen a virtuous cycle in which domestic achievements translate into purchases by global consumers, through various collaborations including live commerce with K-beauty brands and influencers.
