Muju Sangol Film Festival Opens on June 4, Screening 90 Films from 27 Countries
Opening Film to Be Presented as a Fusion of Film Screening and Live Performance
The 14th Muju Sangol Film Festival will be held for five days from June 4 to June 8 in various locations throughout Muju County. This year, the festival will feature 90 films from 27 countries, along with live performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and kids' programs.
The opening ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on June 4 at the Muju Deungnamu Sports Ground, hosted by television personality Park Kyunglim. Before the ceremony, film industry figures including directors and actors will walk the green carpet.
Director Son Guyong, selected as this year's Next Cineaste, and Director Byun Sunghyun, the focus of this year's Directors' Focus, will take the stage. Actress Lee Hyeri, chosen as this year's Next Actor, will also attend and present a self-directed trailer she created herself.

The opening film is "Someone Beyond the Foggy Window: Live," directed by Kim Jongkwan. This convergence performance will combine a film screening with a live music concert. The live performance will be led by music director Lee Taehun.
