Samsung Bioepis and Samsung Medical Center are launching a joint research initiative to secure next-generation bio-technologies based on medical data.

View original imageOn June 1, Samsung Bioepis announced that it had signed a joint research agreement in the biomedical field with Samsung Medical Center.
The two organizations plan to operate a consultative body and a research advisory committee and jointly carry out a range of research projects through the end of 2030.
The core of this agreement is research utilizing medical data held by Samsung Medical Center. Samsung Bioepis plans to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) to develop patient treatment technologies and build a new drug target discovery platform. The company also intends to use the data acquired during the research process for new drug development, including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), and for establishing clinical strategies.
Kim Kyung-Ah, President of Samsung Bioepis, stated, "We will leverage Samsung's healthcare ecosystem to address unmet medical needs and lay the foundation for leading technological innovation," adding, "Together with Samsung Medical Center, we aim to achieve research outcomes that can improve patients' quality of life."
