Kang stated that he is committed to creating "a city energized by sports and smiling through tourism, Changwon," where beloved families, couples, and friends can enjoy together.
Kang pledged to vigorously promote a dynamic baseball policy for Changwon. He promised to foster Changwon as an enjoyable and exciting sports tourism city.
First, he will vitalize the city as a baseball tourism destination. By linking tourism, he will activate the surrounding commercial districts. Rather than visitors coming only for the baseball game, he will develop 2-day-1-night and 3-day-2-night baseball tourism packages that encourage people to stay in Changwon, and he will improve the environment around the baseball stadium to make it more pleasant and exciting.
Second, he will completely revamp the baseball viewing experience. Changwon NC Park Baseball Stadium will be modernized to make it more suitable for playing games and watching matches, with thorough safety management. He also plans to introduce enhanced spectator safety insurance coverage.
Third, he will ensure easy access and a comfortable, safe return home. He will improve accessibility to the stadium and upgrade the transportation infrastructure for convenience. This includes negotiating the extension of KTX to Masan Station, operating dedicated shuttle buses between the station and the baseball stadium, and running moonlight buses after night games to make returning home less burdensome.
Fourth, he will build Changwon's centennial baseball club together with the citizens. He will strive to ensure that the NC Dinos become a centennial club in Changwon. A joint consultative body between Changwon City and the NC Dinos will be established to sign a stabilization agreement, with regular meetings. He will also introduce diverse activation measures so that Changwon citizens, local company employees, and others can frequently attend baseball games.
