Apple Pay is Apple's easy payment service. Until now, Baedal Minjok only supported Apple Pay payments with credit cards issued in Korea, making it difficult for foreign customers to use Baedal Minjok through Apple Pay. With this expansion of payment options, foreigners visiting Korea will be able to enjoy K-food delivery culture more conveniently.
The number of orders placed using overseas payment methods within the Baedal Minjok app has been steadily increasing. In the first quarter of this year, the number of food delivery orders using overseas payment methods increased by approximately 3.7 times compared to the same period last year. In April, the payment amount processed through overseas payment methods increased by about 14 times compared to April of the previous year.
Choi Seonggil, Head of Payment Settlement Product at Woowa Brothers, said, "With support for multiple languages and the new support for Apple Pay overseas cards, we hope that foreigners visiting Korea can experience our food delivery culture more conveniently."
