"Which Way Should I Go?" Man in His 20s Arrested for Sexually Assaulting High School Girl After Pretending to Ask for Directions

A man in his 20s was arrested after pretending to ask a high school girl for directions and then sexually assaulting her.
On May 29, the Seobuk Police Station in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, announced that it had arrested a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse (forcible molestation).
Mr. A is accused of approaching high school student Ms. B in Dujeong-dong, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, at around 8:00 p.m. on May 24, asking her for directions, and then, while following her for about 20 minutes as she guided him, making several instances of physical contact with her.
Even after Ms. B expressed her refusal, Mr. A allegedly attempted to forcibly drag her by grabbing her hand. After shaking off Mr. A’s hand and escaping, Ms. B reported the incident to the police together with her parents, and the police apprehended Mr. A at his residence on the afternoon of May 26.

It was confirmed that some of Mr. A’s actions were clearly captured by closed-circuit television (CCTV). However, Mr. A is reported to be denying the charges.
