Coway Launches 'Zero Food Waste Processor' That Reduces Food Volume by 96%
Equipped with 150°C High-Temperature Heating and Quad Blade Technology
Coway announced on May 29 that it has officially launched two new models of the "Zero Food Waste Processor - Grinder Type," featuring both powerful high-temperature grinding performance and enhanced deodorization capabilities.
The Coway Zero Food Waste Processor - Grinder Type is equipped with a 150°C high-output heating system and Coway's proprietary "quad blade" technology, which enables food waste to be dried and ground quickly and powerfully. When using the quick mode, small amounts of food waste can be processed in just one hour. The 2-liter model can reduce the volume of food waste by up to 96.5%, while the 3-liter model achieves up to a 96.7% reduction.
The new product also features improved deodorization performance, addressing the odor concerns most frequently raised by consumers when using food waste processors. By applying a large-capacity activated carbon filter system, it removes 99% of eight types of harmful gases, including hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, effectively minimizing odors generated during the food waste treatment process.
The convenience of hygiene management has also been enhanced. The internal air passage is equipped with a UV-C sterilization function that eliminates 99.9% of invisible bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella. The interior of the drying chamber can be easily maintained thanks to a high-temperature cleaning function. Additionally, the path through which vapor is discharged can be separated and washed, further strengthening internal hygiene management. Through the "safe storage mode," small daily amounts of food waste can be hygienically stored for up to seven days before being processed all at once.
