About 40 pest control workers will participate in this operation, focusing on vulnerable areas, densely populated residential neighborhoods, and facilities frequently used by residents. In particular, the district plans to concentrate fogging and spraying disinfection on multi-use facilities such as the Gwangju Stream promenade, urban park walking trails, senior centers, and pest control blind spots including homes of individuals who compulsively collect and store discarded items.
Prior to the full-scale launch, Seo-gu completed safety training for neighborhood pest control workers and introduced eco-friendly fogging and spraying methods to minimize environmental pollution and human health impacts.
