Shell Korea announced on the 29th that it has appointed Min Jisun as its new CEO. Min will officially begin her term on June 1, 2026.
Since joining Shell in 2014, Min has overseen stakeholder management, risk management, and external relations in various business areas, including LNG and renewable energy.
Alongside her new role as CEO, Min will continue to serve as the head of external relations. Shell stated that Min is the right person to strengthen collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders in the Korean market, expand synergies between LNG and low-carbon energy businesses, and pursue new business opportunities, all based on her extensive experience in external relations and comprehensive understanding of the business.
Min Jisun, the new CEO, said, "I plan to closely monitor the characteristics and changing trends of the Korean market, continuously seeking tangible business opportunities," adding, "I will do my utmost to ensure that Shell Korea plays a meaningful role in the broader context of the energy transition."
