US Driver Removes Barricade, Gets Vehicle Stuck in Freshly Poured Concrete
Unauthorized Entry onto Road Under Repair
Driver Personally Moves Barricade
Heavy Machinery Deployed to Recover Vehicle
An American driver removed a barricade and entered a road under construction, only to have their vehicle become stuck in freshly poured concrete.
According to U.S. automotive outlets such as Road & Track on May 27 (local time), the incident took place on May 12 at a road construction zone in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
At the time, repair work was underway on the road. Workers had installed a barricade and a "Road Closed" warning sign at the entrance to prevent vehicles from entering.
However, the driver in question got out of the vehicle, personally moved the barricade aside, and drove onto the road where concrete had just been poured. The vehicle was identified as a Nissan Frontier pickup truck.
Ultimately, the vehicle became completely trapped in the still-wet concrete. A photo released by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) shows the truck's wheels deeply sunk into the concrete. According to reports, by the time the driver realized their mistake, it was already too late to reverse the situation.

In the end, police and workers had to deploy heavy machinery to extract the vehicle. Never move or ignore 'Road Closed' signs or other barriers." The agency added, "Otherwise, something like this could happen to you as well."
