After Taiwan, Jensen Huang Expected to Meet Korean Business Leaders Including Koo Kwang-mo Next Week
Visiting Korea After GTC Taipei and Computex
Expected to Discuss Physical AI Collaboration with Koo Kwang-mo of LG
Possible 'Second Close Allies Meeting' with Euisun Chung and Lee Jae-yong
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, who holds global leadership in artificial intelligence (AI), will make a surprise visit to Korea as soon as he completes his schedule in Taiwan next week. This visit comes approximately seven months after his attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju in October last year.
According to industry sources on May 28, CEO Huang is scheduled to board a flight to Korea immediately after completing the main agenda at NVIDIA's annual AI conference, "GTC Taipei 2026," which will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, on June 1.
This visit to Korea is seen as a strategy to simultaneously strengthen the supply chain pillars of the AI infrastructure in both Taiwan (foundries) and Korea (memory and devices). Industry attention is focused on a series of meetings between CEO Huang and leaders of major Korean conglomerates as he travels between Taiwan and Korea.
CEO Huang's summit diplomacy will begin in Taiwan. The keynote speech by CEO Huang, scheduled for the morning of June 1, is expected to be attended in person by Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, and Kwak Nojeong, CEO of SK hynix, among other SK leadership. This will mark the fourth meeting between the two in the past seven months. They plan to further elevate the global AI semiconductor "triangular alliance" linking NVIDIA (design), SK hynix (HBM), and TSMC (foundry).
After concluding his schedule in Taiwan, CEO Huang's itinerary in Korea is expected to be filled with comprehensive meetings with the heads of Korea's four major conglomerates. His visit aims to expand the "AI territory" beyond semiconductors to include automobiles, home appliances, and platforms.
It is reported that after arriving in Korea, CEO Huang will meet with Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group, to discuss collaboration in robotics. There is a possibility that they will discuss a physical AI partnership involving the integration of NVIDIA's robot inference platform "Isaac" into LG's smart home and humanoid robots, which have been identified as LG's future growth engines. Previously, robotics collaboration was discussed in a meeting between Madison Huang, Senior Director at NVIDIA and daughter of CEO Huang, and Ryu Jaecheol, President of LG Electronics. Additional discussions may be held regarding collaboration with affiliates such as LG AI Research (EXAONE), LG Innotek (semiconductor substrates and robot sensing), and LG Uplus (cloud).
There is also speculation about a possible reunion with Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, and Euisun Chung, Executive Chair of Hyundai Motor Group, both of whom held a "close allies meeting" with CEO Huang during the APEC summit in Gyeongju at the end of October last year. Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, is also scheduled to meet CEO Huang at the "Computex 2026" IT exhibition, which will be held concurrently with GTC Taipei.
Meanwhile, CEO Huang arrived early in Taiwan on May 23, ten days before the opening of GTC Taipei and Computex 2026, stirring up the local atmosphere with an aggressive schedule. On May 26, he invited Mark Liu, Chairman of TSMC, and the entire executive team to a restaurant in Taipei for a "historic dinner," showcasing their alliance, and the previous day he met with the management of Quanta Computer to discuss expanding production capacity.
