Government: "High Possibility Namu Was Attacked by Iranian Anti-Ship Missile"... Iranian Ambassador Summoned Immediately
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs: "Will Convey Strong Protest... Will Demand Measures to Prevent Recurrence"
The government has tentatively concluded that the flying object which attacked the HMM Namu, a vessel belonging to HMM and anchored in the Strait of Hormuz, was an anti-ship missile made in Iran.

Vice Minister Park stated, "Technical analysis results concluded that the unidentified flying object was most likely an anti-ship missile of the Noor series developed in Iran."
According to the government’s investigation, among the two flying objects that attacked the Namu, the warhead of the first one did not detonate, while the second warhead exploded. Vice Minister Park explained, "The warhead was presumed to be a dud and remained relatively intact, resembling the warhead shapes of the Iranian anti-ship missiles Noor or Qader." He further added, "The debris from the electronic circuit board is estimated to have been produced about 20 to 30 years ago. Considering the production year, it is highly likely that this was an older model of the Noor missile."
However, the government withheld judgment on whether the attack was an intentional act targeting the Korean vessel by Iran. Vice Minister Park commented, "Intentionality is a subjective matter, and unless the other side acknowledges it, it is extremely difficult to determine."
