Gyeonggi Agency Operates North American Market Delegation, Achieves $4.56 Million in Export Consultations
The Gyeonggi-do Economy and Science Promotion Agency operated the 'Northern Gyeonggi North American Market Development Delegation' from May 18 to 22 in Los Angeles, USA, and Vancouver, Canada, achieving export consultation results totaling 4.56 million USD.
This market development delegation was organized to support stable overseas market expansion for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in northern Gyeonggi, amid growing uncertainty in the global trade environment due to instability in the Middle East and supply chain restructuring.
Seven promising export-oriented SMEs based in Namyangju, Paju, and Pocheon participated in the program. These companies showcased a variety of products, including industrial equipment, consumer goods, smart devices, and manufacturing facilities, to local buyers in North America.
The participating companies held a total of 62 consultations on site, achieving export consultation results amounting to 4.56 million USD.

Participating companies also received on-site support services, including a 50% subsidy for airfare, assignment of professional interpreters, and provision of local transportation vehicles.
Yoo Tae-il, Executive Director of Corporate Growth at the agency, stated, "Even in a time of heightened uncertainty in the global economy, the technologies and products of our northern Gyeonggi SMEs have proven to be sufficiently competitive." He added, "We will actively promote customized follow-up management and various forms of additional support to ensure these consultations lead to actual export contracts and increased sales."
