The Iranian government announced that it has reached a broad agreement with the United States regarding negotiations to end the war.
On the 25th (local time), Esmail Bagayi, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at a regular press briefing, "It is true that we have reached an agreement on a significant portion of the negotiation agenda. However, this does not necessarily mean that the signing of an agreement is imminent," explaining, "This is because the United States is experiencing institutional instability in its politics and decision-making."

He emphasized, "Just as we acted with dignity on the battlefield, we will remain vigilant at the diplomatic table, keeping past experiences in mind and striving to safeguard Iran's national interests." The 'past experiences' mentioned by the Iranian side refer to the precedent where the United States unilaterally withdrew from the nuclear agreement (JCPOA, Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) and carried out airstrikes during nuclear negotiations in February of this year.

Spokesperson Bagayi commented, "The recent progress reported by the media over the past few days is the result of talks that have been ongoing for several weeks through the mediation of Pakistan, and these talks are still underway." He added, "Other countries in the Middle East have also made good-faith mediation efforts." Regarding the nuclear issue, he drew a clear line, stating that it is not up for negotiation.
