"Three Shifts of Eight Hours, No Food or Sleep for 200 Hours"... Humanoid Robot Successfully Sorts 250,000 Packages
Autonomous Operation Powered by Proprietary AI—No Remote Control Required
Lightweight Items Handled with One Hand, Large Boxes Managed with Both Hands
The humanoid robot 'Figure 03 (F.03)' developed by US humanoid robotics company Figure AI has completed 200 consecutive hours of package sorting work, demonstrating its potential for deployment in real industrial settings. Industry experts are now predicting that the introduction of humanoid robots to logistics and manufacturing sites may occur sooner than previously anticipated.
Figure AI announced that it concluded the continuous task test for Figure 03 on May 22, having streamed the process live on YouTube since May 14 (local time).

The robot operated autonomously, powered by its proprietary artificial intelligence model 'Helix-02,' without any human remote control.
The test originally aimed to verify whether the robot could perform the work stably for eight hours, but due to its surprisingly robust performance, it was extended to a total of 200 consecutive hours. The task was carried out in shifts, with three robots working eight hours each. Over 200 hours, Figure 03 processed a total of 249,560 packages, averaging 1,248 packages per hour.
Figure 03 chose to grip boxes with either one or both hands depending on the size and shape of the object, and it would stretch its upper body forward to retrieve items that were far away. Lightweight items, such as those wrapped in plastic, were handled with one hand, while larger boxes were balanced and organized using both hands.
As the robot approached the 200-hour milestone, Figure AI developers and staff on site counted down together, and immediately after achieving the record, they celebrated by popping champagne. After stopping its work, Figure 03 raised both arms and left the work area.

While the human participant confessed, "It felt like my arms were about to break," the robot continued working without any rest. Brett Adcock, CEO of Figure AI, commented at the time, "This will be the last match that humans win."
