He added, "Through this, we will organically connect the western and southern areas with Dongtan at the center and achieve joint development."
The 'Hwaseong Circular Railway,' one of Jeong's five core pledges, is being seriously considered as a loop line connecting Byeongjeom Station (Line 1) - Bongdam (Shinbundang Line) - Namyang - Hyangnam (Seohae Line) - and back to Dongtan, in line with the Dongtan Tram's connection to Byeongjeom Station.
In addition, if the three internal looped private expressways currently under development—Dongtan~Maesong, Namyang~Hyangnam, and Hyangnam~Dongtan—are combined, a so-called "dual transport network" where railways and roads create synergy will be established. As a result, all areas of Hwaseong are expected to become accessible within 30 minutes.
During the rally, Jeong, together with local provincial and city council candidates, appealed for support, saying, "To ensure that Dongtan, the youngest and most dynamic area in Korea, continues to move forward, we need the wise choices of our citizens." He further emphasized, "I will dramatically improve the inconveniences of commuting and access to Seoul, making Dongtan the most livable city in Korea."
He also stated, "Dongtan is set to become a hub for cutting-edge future industries such as semiconductors, AI (artificial intelligence), future mobility, and aerospace," adding, "I will firmly establish the foundation of Hwaseong Special City so that our children can seize world-class opportunities and realize their dreams here."
Candidate Jeong said, "I will create a city filled with the laughter of children, a city where everyone wants to live and move to," and appealed, "Dear citizens of Dongtan, please support us so that Hwaseong's future keeps progressing."
