Former President Park Geun-hye will visit Chilseong Market in Daegu on May 23, just over ten days before the June 3 local elections, to support Choo Kyung-ho, the People Power Party’s candidate for Daegu mayor.
According to political sources on May 22, Park is expected to accompany Choo at Chilseong Market for about 30 minutes that day to support his campaign.
Earlier, on May 4, Choo visited Park’s residence in Dalseong County along with Lee Cheol-woo, a fellow preliminary candidate from the same party running for governor of North Gyeongsang Province. At that time, Choo relayed that Park offered words of encouragement, saying, “I hope you work hard in this election, achieve good results, and be sure to get elected,” and also asked him to unite the party’s strength.
