Lotte Energy Materials Sells Stake in Subsidiary Lotte Ecowall
"Restructuring Portfolio Around Future-Oriented Materials"
Lotte Energy Materials announced on the 22nd that it has signed a share purchase agreement with Rilsen Private Equity to sell a 90% stake in its subsidiary, Lotte Ecowall.
The shares to be disposed of amount to 550,620, with the sale price approximately KRW 17.08 billion. The scheduled disposal date is July 7.
Lotte Ecowall is the leading domestic company specializing in curtain wall construction (a method where a glass exterior wall is built separately from the concrete wall). Last year, Lotte Ecowall posted sales of about KRW 130 billion and operating profit of approximately KRW 12 billion, with EBITDA exceeding 10%.
Lotte Energy Materials decided on this sale to restructure its business portfolio around future materials.
Lotte Energy Materials plans to focus on strengthening competitiveness in its core copper foil business. The funds secured from this transaction will be used to invest in four key high value-added product portfolios: circuit foil for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, ultra-thin foil for semiconductors, battery foil for energy storage systems (ESS), and battery foil for electric vehicles (EVs).
