"Samsung Electronics and SK hynix 2X"... Leveraged ETFs and ETNs to Be Listed on the 27th
The Korea Exchange announced that on May 27, it will list 18 single-stock leveraged and inverse products (16 ETFs and 2 ETNs) on the KOSPI market.
According to the Exchange on May 22, the total planned listing size for these exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and exchange-traded notes (ETNs) amounts to 4.3227 trillion won. The combined planned principal amount for the ETFs is 4.1227 trillion won, while the total principal amount for the ETNs is 200 billion won.
By product, the Samsung Electronics and SK hynix leveraged products track twice the daily returns of their respective underlying assets. The Samsung Electronics and SK hynix futures leveraged products primarily invest in stock futures, tracking twice the daily returns of Samsung Electronics futures and SK hynix futures. The Samsung Electronics and SK hynix futures inverse 2X products use stock futures to provide negative twice the daily returns of Samsung Electronics futures and SK hynix futures.

The Exchange stated, "Unlike typical ETFs and ETNs, single-stock leveraged and inverse products have unique structures and risk factors," and added, "Investors can review detailed investment risks for each product in the respective prospectus."
