"Iran Rapidly Rebuilding Military... Drone Capabilities to Be Restored Within Six Months"
On May 20 (local time), CNN reported, citing U.S. intelligence agencies, that Iran is rebuilding its military capabilities faster than previously anticipated.
According to the report, Iran is rapidly restoring missile bases and weapons system production capabilities that were destroyed by U.S.-Israeli airstrikes. U.S. intelligence officials reportedly believe that Iran could fully restore its drone warfare capabilities within as little as six months.
CNN quoted one intelligence official as saying, "The Iranians have moved up all of the recovery timelines that the U.S. intelligence community (IC) had expected."
This rapid pace of military reconstruction is attributed to multiple factors, including support from Russia and China, as well as the fact that Iran did not sustain as much damage as the U.S. and Israel had anticipated. However, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied such suspicions, stating that they were "not based on facts."
