Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters Holds 'Centenarian Longevity Village' Celebration for Residents Near the Plant
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head of Headquarters: Kwon Wontak; Labor Union Chairman: Ahn Cheolbeom) organized a meaningful event to celebrate the 100th birthdays of elderly residents living near the plant and to foster harmony with the local community.
The Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters announced that it held the "Longevity Village Celebration Event" over two days, from May 19 to 20, at the community centers of Sinseo-ri in Yangnam-myeon and Jeondong-ri in Gampo-eup, Gyeongju City.

View original imageThis event was planned to celebrate the health and longevity of Mr. Jeong Junyoung from Sinseo-ri and Ms. Oh Youngsun from Jeondong-ri, both of whom turned 100 years old this year, and to share the joy with the village community.
The event was attended by Kwon Wontak, Head of Headquarters, Ahn Cheolbeom, Labor Union Chairman, the families of the centenarians, and local residents, who all shared in the warmth of the occasion.
On this day, Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters presented congratulatory gifts and bouquets to the centenarians, while also providing banquet food for the residents, creating an atmosphere of intergenerational harmony.
Kwon Wontak, Head of Headquarters, stated, "The fact that our local elders are living long and healthy lives is a source of pride for the village and a precious value for society." He added, "We will continue to show our interest and support for local elders without reservation, and will closely communicate with residents through a variety of win-win cooperation activities."
Labor Union Chairman Ahn Cheolbeom also remarked, "I sincerely congratulate our elders on their longevity, and the labor and management will join forces to support sharing activities for the local community."
