"I Will End the Incompetent and Irresponsible Mayor Oh Sehoon"... Jung Wono Launches Campaign in His 'Political Hometown' Seongdong
Jung Won-oh, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Seoul mayor, held a campaign launch event on the 21st in Seongdong-gu, his "political hometown." He appealed to his supporters by saying, "Let’s put an end to the incompetent and irresponsible Mayor Oh Se-hoon, and elect a capable mayor to make our lives safer and more secure."

He criticized, "Candidate Oh only blames others for the housing problem, even though he has served as Seoul mayor for six years, continuing to fault his predecessor." He continued, "In 2021, he promised to supply 80,000 homes every year. Had he kept that promise, the housing problem would have been resolved." Jung added, "Instead of blaming the previous mayor and the current administration, he should apologize."
Jung further pointed out, "The national average real gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth is 2.0, but Seoul’s is just 1.0, only half the national average. Out of the 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide, Seoul ranks 11th. This deserves reflection." He also remarked, "During Mayor Oh’s term, there have been countless safety and major incidents, such as the Yongsan disaster, landslides, and the Sungnyemun fire."
