View original imageOn May 20, Kakao Mobility announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LG Innotek for cooperation in the development of autonomous driving solutions. The two companies will conduct joint research and development to secure large-scale real-world driving data, which is essential to autonomous driving technology, by combining Kakao Mobility's data collection infrastructure with LG Innotek's high-precision sensing solutions.
Under this agreement, LG Innotek will develop an autonomous driving sensing solution that integrates camera, radar, and LiDAR modules. Kakao Mobility plans to utilize this solution in its artificial intelligence (AI) data pipeline, which is an integrated management system for autonomous driving data.
Kakao Mobility intends to further strengthen its core autonomous driving technologies based on the data acquired through this collaboration.
