Park Min-sik: "There Is Not Even a 1% Chance of Political Engineering Unification"
Park: "For Han Donghoon, Buk-gu Is Just a Temporary Stopover"
Park Minsik, the People Power Party candidate running in the Busan Buk-gu Gap by-election for the National Assembly, dismissed the possibility of unification on May 19, stating, "There is not even a 1% chance of a politically engineered unification that puts Buk-gu on the bargaining table."
On the same day, Park posted on his Facebook account, "Our Buk-gu is not a 'stepping stone' for candidate Han Donghun's political ambitions," and criticized, "For candidate Han, Buk-gu is nothing more than a brief stopover on his way back into politics, rejoining the party, and heading toward central power."

He continued, "After shaking the conservative stronghold and standing at the center of division, now that the election is becoming urgent, he is trying to use Buk-gu Gap voters' ballots and pride as fuel for his own political ambitions."

Finally, Park emphasized, "I will never compromise with opportunistic politics that have divided conservatives," and added, "The residents of Buk-gu firmly refuse to become fuel that burns away for the personal ambitions of a political turncoat," stating, "I will defend the pride of Buk-gu and the values of conservatism to the very end."
