Naver Says "No Decision Made on Consortium With Uber to Acquire Baemin"
On May 19, NAVER announced in a public disclosure that “no specific decision has been made” regarding media reports that it is forming a consortium with Uber to acquire Baemin (Baedal Minjok).
The previous day, some media outlets reported that NAVER and Uber were considering acquiring Baemin by forming a consortium with an 8:2 ownership structure.
Through an explanatory disclosure addressing rumors and reports, NAVER stated, “We are reviewing various options to strengthen our business competitiveness, but nothing has been specifically decided at this time.”
