Local Government & Public Week is an exhibition in the smart city and public digital transformation (DX) sectors, sponsored by Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Last year, approximately 21,000 officials from 554 local governments attended the event.
At this exhibition, Naver Cloud set up a space where visitors could experience the Care Call service firsthand, receiving positive feedback. On-site attendees received Care Call phone calls directly on their smartphones and interacted with the AI, checking on their daily well-being and health status.
During the event, Naver Cloud, in collaboration with Izumo City, held a seminar under the theme of 'Digital Transformation of Elderly Care', sharing the demonstration process and operational results of Care Call.
Naver Care Call was introduced last June in Izumo City, one of Japan's super-aged cities. Locally, Care Call has become established as an AI infrastructure that compensates for workforce shortages by replacing repetitive tasks performed by welfare staff, thereby reducing gaps in elderly care services.
