Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju-Jeonnam Donates Funds to Support Health and Welfare of Vulnerable Seniors
Providing Essential Health Care Supplies for Daily Life, Including Pain Relief Patches
The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereafter referred to as "Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae") announced on May 18, 2026, that the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation donated 5 million won to support the healthy daily lives of vulnerable senior citizens in the region.
The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereafter referred to as "Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae") announced on May 18, 2026, that the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation donated 5 million won to support the healthy daily lives of vulnerable senior citizens in the region.
The donation ceremony was held on May 14, 2026, at the Gwangsan District Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association in Gwangju. The attendees included Lee Haksoo, Manager of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation; Yoo Hanbong, Head of the Gwangsan District Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association in Gwangju; and Noh Jinseok, Secretary-General of Gwangju Sarangui-Yeolmae.
This donation will be used to provide health care supplies for vulnerable senior citizens in Gwangsan District who are experiencing chronic physical discomfort such as joint pain, back pain, and muscle pain due to old age. In particular, the plan is to deliver health-support items necessary for daily life, such as pain relief patches, to seniors who face financial difficulties in purchasing health care products, helping to relieve their pain and support stability in daily life.
Kim Giho, Head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation, stated, "Even minor discomfort can be a significant challenge in the daily lives of seniors. I hope that this support will provide at least some help for the healthy lives of seniors in the community, and we will continue to practice sharing with the local society in the future."
