Gyeonggi Province Launches 'Happiness Campus' Life Redesign Project for Middle-Aged and Seniors
Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the first semester of the "2026 Gyeonggi Middle-Aged and Senior Happiness Campus" until June 5, 2026, in order to support life redesign and social participation for the middle-aged and senior generation.
The program is open to residents of the province who are aged 40 or older but under 65.
Selected participants will receive a comprehensive range of services tailored to middle-aged and senior needs for three months from June to August during the first semester, including life redesign counseling, transition education, community activities, and social contribution programs.
The program will be offered in two regions: at the "Baby Boomer Light Job Center" in Suwon and the "Hanyang Bookstore Juyup Branch" in Goyang.
Detailed information about the educational content is available on the Gyeonggi Middle-Aged and Senior Happiness Campus website (gg4060.kr).
Starting this year, Gyeonggi Province is also newly launching the "Middle-Aged Community Space Project." In this initiative, participants can lead lectures or plan and operate educational programs themselves, drawing on their own experience and expertise. The pilot program will be run at the Paju hub, supporting the middle-aged and senior generation in actively creating community spaces and continuing social activities in their regions.
Applications can be submitted online through the Happiness Campus website, with the recruitment period running from May 18 to June 5, 2026.
