Handonghun Says "Donation Cap of 150 Million Won Reached in 19 Minutes"
According to the campaign of Handonghoon, an independent candidate running in the Busan Bukgu Gap by-election, the legal fundraising cap of 150 million won was reached within 19 minutes after donations opened at 10 a.m. on May 13, despite a temporary computer error caused by a surge of incoming funds.

View original imageAccording to Handonghoon's camp, a total of 1,762 donations were received, with an average amount of 85,131 won. Of these, 1,656 donations—93.8% of the total—were small contributions of 100,000 won or less.
On the same day, Handonghoon expressed his gratitude through Facebook, stating, "I am thankful to everyone who supported me so passionately. I will not forget your support and will repay it by working for the reconstruction of Bukgu and the revitalization of the conservative cause."

The campaign stated, "As the donation cap has been fully reached, the fundraising account has been closed," adding, "Detailed statistics regarding the donations will be released after further analysis."
