Seo Chunho Secures 4.5 Billion Won Special Grant from Interior Ministry, Boosting Local Key Projects
Nine Key Projects in Sacheon, Namhae, and Hadong Selected
"Making Every Effort to Secure Funds for Disaster Prevention and Improving Living Conditions"
Seo Chunho, a member of the People Power Party, has secured a special grant of 4.5 billion won from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for the first half of this year, which is expected to bolster the advancement of key projects in Sacheon, Namhae, and Hadong in South Gyeongsang Province.
This special grant will be allocated to a total of nine projects, aiming to enhance residents’ daily convenience, expand disaster and safety infrastructure, and improve local living conditions.
Sacheon City secured a total of 1.2 billion won, including 700 million won for the construction of the Eastern Senior Cultural Welfare Center and 500 million won for the Gonyang-myeon Wansa Small Stream Maintenance Project.
The Eastern Senior Cultural Welfare Center has faced issues of aging infrastructure since its completion 26 years ago. The upcoming project is expected to help improve the welfare environment for seniors and ensure safety. Additionally, the Wansa Small Stream Maintenance Project is anticipated to help prevent damage from heavy rainfall and flooding.
Namhae County secured a total of 1.9 billion won in special grants, including 1 billion won for the Mijo-myeon Jodo-Hodo undersea pipeline maintenance project, 400 million won for the Seolcheon-myeon Munui Small Stream Maintenance Project, 200 million won for the Singi Village agricultural small bridge maintenance project, and 300 million won for the Idong-myeon Geumseok Village agricultural bridge repair project.
In particular, the maintenance of old and damaged undersea pipelines and improvements to agricultural infrastructure are expected to help alleviate residents’ inconvenience and prevent disasters.
Hadong County secured a total of 1.5 billion won, including 1 billion won for the establishment of a health screening center at the Hadong Medical Center, 300 million won for the installation of pedestrian safety lighting facilities in the Jeongnyang-myeon Dong-ri to Seo-ri section, and 200 million won for the installation of automatic saltwater spraying devices on roads in Okjong, Bukcheon, and Hwagae-myeon.
The Hadong Medical Center health screening center is expected to accelerate the ongoing hospital construction project, which aims to open in 2027.

Seo Chunho stated, "Securing this special grant will not only improve living conditions and local infrastructure for residents, but also allow for the accelerated implementation of disaster prevention projects," adding, "I will continue to do my utmost to secure national funding for the safety and livelihood issues of our residents."
