View original imageAccording to industry sources on May 12, Samsung Electronics is scheduled to hold its product launch event, 'Galaxy Unpacked,' in London on July 22. The company is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold8, Flip8, and Galaxy Watch9 series, among others. Traditionally, Samsung Electronics has launched the Galaxy S series in the first half of each year and unveiled its foldable Galaxy Z Flip and Fold series in the second half.
There is also speculation that this year's Unpacked event may feature a new model, tentatively called the 'Fold Wide,' in addition to the existing Fold lineup. This model is expected to have a wider horizontal axis and a reduced vertical length, offering a 4:3 aspect ratio when unfolded—making it closer to a tablet. The main feature is the maximized practicality of its external display. With Apple also reportedly preparing to release its first foldable iPhone this September, competition in the global foldable smartphone market is expected to intensify.
